Her husband was Grady Edgar LEWIS who she married on Aug. 5, 1935, in Baxter County, Arkansas, USA.

A funeral for Hazel A. Lewis, 85, of Gainesville, Mo., was held at the Clarkridge Church of Christ. Mrs. Lewis passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Gainesville.

She was born March 9, 1919, to William Spencer and Almedia Walton Stone. She married Grady Lewis Aug. 5, 1935. They moved to Gainesville March 9, 1953, from Bentley Ridge.

Mrs. Lewis was a lifetime member of Clarkridge Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and mother, and she enjoyed sewing.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by one son, T.J. Lewis and his wife, Anita, of Gainesville; three sisters, Faye Lamb and Yutha Olinger and her husband, Fred, all of Mountain Home and Ethel Thayer of Cotter; eight grandchildren, Gina Hirsch, Jayne Richardson, Bryan Bruce, Toni Schmidt, Craig Bruce, Tracy Guffey, Sherri Southworth and Todd Lewis; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady; daughter, Virginia Bruce; seven brothers; and five sisters.

Burial at Howard's Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
