He was a native of Geneva, Ala., and has lived in Rossville for the past 50 years.
Mr. Jones was of the Baptist faith and was a retired heavy equipment operator retiring at age 85.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jay Jones.
Survivors are daughter, Valenda Ogle, Rossville; brothers, Lofton Jones, Gulf Port, Miss. and Jack Jones, Sampson, Ala.; Granddaughter, Donna Ogle Huskey; and great-granddaughter, Valenda Briana Huskey.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with the Rev. Royce Powell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
