Upon this birth, this boy's father wrote the following in his journal, "November 23, 1856, North Willow Creek, my wife, Mary Ann gave birth to her fourth son at 5 minutes to 11 (noon). Name John Newman."
[NOTE: Read the bio of this baby boy's sister, infant Mary Ann Barker, who is buried in the same grave as he is..it gives the family history and his father's poem of grief for these two children buried at Willard Pioneer Cemetery].
There is no stone here to mark the little graves at this date. Both children are memorialized on the J. N. [John Newman] BARKER family stone at Willard Precinct Cemetery, where all three parents were interred.
