Millie R. Daugherty, 89, Claysburg, passed away Wednesday at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.

She was born in Claysburg, daughter of the late Irvin and Nettie (Lingenfelter) Dively.

Surviving are twin sons: Eldon and wife, Judy, of Blue Knob and Sheldon and wife, Janice, of Claysburg; four grandchildren: Cheryl Bradley, Juanita Eckenroad, Keith Daugherty and Shanon Benson; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Weyandt of Claysburg; three brothers: Mearl, Robert and Wilmer Dively, all of Claysburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Brady, Leslie and Melvin Dively; and three sisters: Anna Black, Grace Dively and Thelma Albright.

Millie was employed at the Pennsylvania Railroad Juniata Shops during WWII.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with her family and traveling with her friend Eilene Burger.

She attended Claysburg Church of God.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Claysburg Church of God. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at her church with Pastor Marcus Tanner officiating. Interment at Alto-Reste Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Claysburg Food Bank, c/o Delores Helsel, 371 Cottontown Road, Claysburg, PA 16625.
