She was also a descendant of Pilgrims John Howland, John Tilley, Elizabeth Tilley Howland, and Joan Hurst Tilley of the Mayflower 1620.
She was a Christian Scientist and a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts, founded by Mary Baker Eddy.
