Last Friday word was received from Spring city announcing the death of Mrs. John S. Blain. She has been in very poor health since the birth of her baby last spring, and gradually declined. Mr. Blain is absent on a mission, and the news of his loss will be a severe blow to him. At one time he was on the point of returning home, when some friend advised him that his wife was improving, and he changed his mind. When he sent this word home, his wife failed rapidly. The couple had been married but a few years.
Sarah died 6 months after Arthur was born.
