The funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Sarah Ann Zabriskie were held in the Spring City meetinghouse, Jan. 1, 1907. Mrs. Zabriskie was one of Spring City's oldest residents. She was born in Gibson County Tenn., Oct. 5, 1828, and was baptized in the month of June, 1844. She came to Utah with her husband in 1852. They made their home in Utah Co., until 1860, when they came to Sanpete, where Mrs. Zabriskie has since lived, her husband having died more than 30 years ago. She was the mother of 10 children. seven of whome are living. Mrs. Zabriskie was a firm and steadfast Latter-day Saint, a woman that was loved and respected by all who knew her, as was evidenced by the large attendance at the funeral, and the testimonies of the speakers to the worthiness of the life of "Grandma" Zabriskie.
