Emmett was born in Mississippi but was "GONE TO TEXAS" at the age of 2 1/2 years old in a covered wagon with his parents and siblings.


Emmett was married 1st to Lucy Pride, they had 2 children , Lucy died of pneumonia and later he married Nancy Allie Farah Welch.

Nancy Allie Farah Welch (Allie Gal)was married prior to Lee Albritton, he too died of pneumonia about the same time that Emmett's wife died. she had 2 children from the 1st mrg.

Together, Emmett and Allie had the following children

Paulene, Mildred, Denman, Ruth, Emmett Harrison, Dorothy, Josephene, Ollie, Ruby, Sarah, Farah, George, Dunkin Mack, Augusta

The Dunkin Family cemetery is maintained to this day by their son Dunkin "Mack" Dunkin. He drives from Orange Texas up to Angelina Co TX every 2 weeks to mow and trim the grass and make any repairs that are needed.
