PORT LAVACA — Allie Mae Bales Brett, 84, of Port Lavaca died in a local nursing home Wednesday, May 6, 1992, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Brett was born Nov. 1, 1907, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to the late Wirt W. and Mattie Silvus Bales. She worked with the American Red Cross, the Girls Friendly Society and the Home Demonstration Club, was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors: son, Dempsey Owen Brett of Port Lavaca; sisters, Flossie Elswick of Victoria and Arlene Shipman of El Paso; and one granddaughter.
Preceded in death by husband, Owen Edward Brett, in 1975; and three brothers.
Services 10 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. David Ennis officiating.
Burial in Hatch Cemetery, Richardson Funeral Home, Port Lavaca, 361-552-2988.
Pallbearers: Leland Boyd, Gerald Blevins, Glenn Blevins, Howard Neil, Charles Willoughby and Marcus Stevens.
