Funeral services were to be held at 5 p.m. today for Mrs. Mattie Bales, of Port Lavaca, who died in a Victoria hospital Thursday afternoon. The funeral was to he held at the Port Lavaca Assembly of God Church, with Rev. John S. Elswick and Rev. B.V. Robison conducting the services.
Interment will be in Lynnworth Cemetery. The Muske Funeral Home is in charge.
A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Bales had lived in Calhoun County for 32 years. She is survived by three sons Ralph R., Leith L. and Haskell L. Bales, and three daughters; Mrs. Owen Brett, Mrs D.L. Elswick and Miss Arlene Bales, all of Port Lavaca.
