Dempsey O. Brett, 83, formerly of Port Lavaca, passed away Sept. 19, 2007. He was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Port Lavaca, to the late Owen Edward and Allie Mae Bales Brett.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and retired from Alcoa. Mr. Brett served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force and was a POW of WWII.
He is survived by his daughter, Priscillia Childers and husband Mark; grandson, Larry Chiders; and granddaughter, Larissa Childers.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Hranicky Brett.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2007. Interment will follow at Hatchbend.
Serving as pallbearers are Larry Chiders, Chris Hranicky, Edward Hranicky, Joseph Hranicky, Kyle Hranicky and ClayBrett.
