Douglas D. Templeton died Friday in Seminole. He was 72. He was born July 9, 1927 in Holdenville. He was the son of William Marvin Templeton and Birdie Farrell Templeton.

Mr. Templeton moved to Maud from Holdenville in 1967. He married Relta Roberts Hopkins in 1969 in Amarillo, Texas. He was a heavy equipment operator and retired in 1986. Templeton was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Relta Templeton of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Pam Hopkins of Maud, one sister, Alpha Saunders of Holdenville, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle and Lou Jean Tampleton of Holdenville and Deryl and Ann Tampleton of Cleo Springs, two grandsons, Frank Hopkins of Maud and Nick Hopkins of Emory, Texas and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Tecumseh Mission Cemetery with Frank Brewer officiating. Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
