Marvin Deryl Tampleton Obituary
We celebrate today the life of Marvin Deryl Tampleton. He was born May 15, 1945 and was the youngest son of William and Birdie Tampleton.
As a young man, Marvin joined the Army where he learned how to drive a truck. He loved driving trucks and made this his life's work after his stint in the Army. Soon after leaving the Army, Marvin married his first wife and together they had two daughters, Rebekah and Crystal, though the marriage was short-lived. Marvin worked for several different trucking companies, such as Santa Fe Drilling that took him to Saudi Arabia. Later, he worked for Sitton Trucking where he met and married the love of his life, Anne Tampleton. They enjoyed more than 20 years together.
Marvin was preceded in death by his dear wife Anne, his parents, William Marvin and Birdie Tampleton, his older brother, Doug Tampleton, and his two sisters, Shirley Lou Tampleton and Alpha Hamby Saunders.
Marvin is survived by his daughters, Rebekah Chapman and husband Lewis, Crystal (Infante/Asad) Reinhardt and husband Roger, an older brother Doyl Tampleton and wife Lugene. Also surviving Marvin are his nieces, Shirley Jackson and husband Chris, Lynette Mackey and husband Thomas, Sherry Smith and husband James, nephew Wayne Tampleton, and grandchildren Jeffery Infante, Victor Infante, Marcus Infante and Christopher Assad.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.
