MITTIE ROBINSON REYNOLDS
ABBEVILLE. . .Mittie Matilda Robinson Reynolds, a resident of County Road 40, Abbeville, died early Thursday morning, December 25, 2008, in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital. She was 90.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, December 27, 2008, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P. M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, c/o Henry Reynolds, Treasurer, 3945 County Road 40, Newville, AL. 36353.

Mrs. Reynolds was born and reared in Henry County, near Abbeville, daughter of the late Henry Cleveland Robinson and Mary Elizabeth Murphy Robinson. She lived in the Pleasant Grove Community of Henry County all her married life. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Reynolds, three sisters, Doris Robinson Belcher, Mary Robinson Volf and Nora Lee Robinson Johnson and a brother, Grady Robinson.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Glenda Barnes and husband, David Barnes, Abbeville; Barbara Peyton and husband, Bill Peyton, Gahanna, Ohio; two sons, Henry Reynolds and wife, Susan Reynolds, Abbeville; Winston Reynolds and wife, Anita Reynolds, Echo Community; a sister, Annie Mae Robinson Holmes, Abbeville; a brother, John Henry Robinson and wife, Ann Robinson, Abbeville; seven grandchildren, Amy Avent and husband, Elliott Avent, Kevin Barnes, Emile Reynolds, Elizabeth Daughtry and husband, Michael Daughtry, Robert Reynolds, Haley Reynolds and Wesley Reynolds; two great-grandchildren, Sydney Daughtry and Marshall Daughtry; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Paul Holmes, Gerald Holmes, Louie McCoy, Everett Culpepper, Jerry Volf and Terry Volf.
