James Avery Dendy, age 75, of Route 1, Woodland, died Wednesday, November 20. Funeral services were held Friday, November 22 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Childress officiating.
The son of the late John Davis Dendy and the late Betty Harrington Dendy, he was a farmer. He was born in Chickasaw County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Earline Lancaster Dendy of Woodland; one sister, Mrs. Lorette D Criddle of Montpelier and two brothers, John Thomas Dendy of Woodland and Marvin Dendy of Falls River, Massachusetts.
Pallbearers were Phillip Dendy, Lamar Dendy, T A Dendy, W R Gann, Daniel Dendy and Jimmy Dale Dendy.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
