OBITUARY: John Wellington King, 85, of Farnham, died on Monday, December 17, 2007. Mr. King was the widower of Elenora Prescott King. He was retired from Kimsey's Floor Covering and a member of Oakland United Methodist Church. Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, William and Josephine King of Farnham; a brother Ernest J. King of Tappahannock; three grandchildren, W. David King, Bonnie K. (Kraig) Jenkins and Jennifer K. (Ernie) Douglas; one great-grandchild, Haley B. Douglas. Funeral services will be held at 11: a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel, with interment in Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Marks Chapel, this evening (Tuesday) from 6 to 8. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakland United Methodist Church, c/o Deenie Dodson, 2002 Oakland Rd., Farnham, Va. 22460. Published in the Richmond Times Dispatch on December 18, 2007.
