Mrs. Arlene Louise Burdette Blankenship, 63, of Barboursville, died Thursday, October 17, 1996, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 20, 1996, at 2:00 p.m. at Crook Chapel Church, Green Valley Road, by the Rev. Ralph Houck. Burial will be in Crook Cemetery. She was born October 30, 1932 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late J. B. and Bernice Faulkner Tanner. She attended Crook Chapel Church. She is survived by her husband, Jack Blankenship; three sons and their wives, Randy and Tami Blankenship of Barboursville, Bobby Jack and Dorothy Blankenship of Washington Court House, Ohio, Jamie and Becky Blankenship of Chesapeake, Ohio; five sisters, Marlene Crook of Huntington, Mary West of Jacksonville, Fla., Judy Robinson of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Peggy Turman of Ona, and Jennifer Tanner of Charlotte, N.C.; six granddaughters; one grandson; and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bob Waugh, Joe Waugh, Larry Blankenship, Drew Blankenship, Brad Turman, and Bruce Adams. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Crook Chapel Church, c/o Bernice Reed, 9 Greenspring Drive, Huntington, W. Va., 25705.
