MARLENE L. BURDETTE CROOK, 73, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. E.R. Houck. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. She was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Huntington, a daughter of the late J.B. and Bernice Tanner. She was also preceded in death by her father, Marden Burdette; her husband, Carl Crook Jr; three sisters and brother-in-law, Arlene and Jack Blankenship, Judy Robinson, Eloise Sharpe. She was a member of Crook Chapel Church. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Bruce Adams of Huntington; three sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Jack Cusick of Jacksonville, Fla., Peggy Turman and Jennifer Tanner both of Huntington, grandchildren, David Adams, Beth and W.T. Bradley, Kala Adams; two great-granddaughters; special nieces, Linda Hensley and Mary Ann Coalson; special nephew and his wife, Jamie and Jeannette Blankenship.
