Charles E. Cook, 77, of 117 Winfield St., died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital of Marshall County, Plymouth.

Mr. Cook was a retired custodian from Culver Elementary School. He was born Sept. 8, 1918, in Culver.

On Feb. 6, 1941, in Culver, he married Hazel Green. She survives with two sons, William T. of Plymouth and John M. of San Antonio; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Adams of Culver.

Two children preceded him in death.

Mr. Cook was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a former member of the Culver Town Board, Culver Lions Club, Culver Chamber of Commerce and W.A. Fleet American Legion Post. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Bonine Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Culver-Union Township Emergency Medical Services.
