Mrs. Mary C. Benner, 88, widow of John W Benner, died this morning at 8:45 at home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Durboraw, Gettysburg Rt 4 from a complication of diseases. She had resided with her daughter since becoming ill five weeks ago.

The deceased was born in Adams County, daughter of the late Abraham and Anna Hesson. She was a lifelong member of the Mount Joy Lutheran Church, charter member of the Women's Missionary Society and member of the Ladies Bible Class. Her husband died in 1913.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Duboraw, 8 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three sisters: Mrs. Lina Eyler, Yakima, WA, Mrs. Virginia Horner & Mrs. Charles F Sanders both of Gettysburg and one dau-in-law Mrs. Sarah Benner , Mt Joy Township.
