Mr. Hesson, who was a native of Adams county, moved to Taneytown a number of years ago where he engaged in business as a storekeeper. He sold his business only recently. He served for two terms in the Maryland legislature.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ada Garner, of Carroll county; three children, Clyde Hesson, of the Savings bank of Taneytown; Charles Hesson, Park college, Washington, D.C., and Mary Hesson Robb, Taneytown; and four sisters, Mrs. George Eyler, Yakima, Washington; Mrs. Mary Benner, Taneytown; Mrs. Virginia Horner, Baltimore street, and Mrs. Charles F. Sanders, West Broadway. There are two grandchildren also surviving.
Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Taneytown Lutheran church of which Mr. Hesson was a member with the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Sutcliffe, officiating. Interment in Taneytown.
