ROZETTA ORELLA McLAUGHLIN

Rozetta Elwood, daughter of Thomas and Alice Lewis Elwood, was born at Stockton, Mo., October 31, 1870. She passed away at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 5 days. She moved with her parents to western Kansas when she was 9 years old. Later she moved to Washington County where she was married to Francis Marion McLaughlin on January 24, 1889. To this union four children were born: Louis Andrew, who died in infancy; Nina Hatter of Fay, Oklahoma; Fred McLaughlin and Edna Berry of Concordia, Kansas.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hilborn of Abilene, Kansas, Mrs. Maggie Boylan of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Sarah Richardson of Steele City, Nebraska, Mrs. Grace Justis of North Platte, Nebraska, Mrs. Stella Wisner, of Fowler, Colorado, Mrs. Louisa Kirk of Wymore, Nebraska; four brothers;John Elwood of Spokane, Washington, Jess Elwood of Pendleton, Oregon, Ben Elwood of Ridgefield, Washington, Leonard Elwood of Wathena, Kansas. nieces, nephews and a host of friends also mourn her passing.

Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church, Rev. Tempfer officiating, with interment in Washington City Cemetery.
