Force, Dr. Wendell Hanks, retired Optometrist, died July 17, 2008. Dr. Force was born on June 26, 1930 in Russell, Iowa. Dr. Force served in the Air Force from 1951 - 1954 where he was stationed in Iceland, attended Simpson College and Iowa University, and received his doctorate in Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon. He practiced in Chariton, Iowa with Dr. Danner and in Wichita, Kansas with Herndon, Bettis & Force and Wichita Family Vision Clinic.
Preceded in death by parents Guy Elbert and Nora Ethel Hanks Force and sister Irma Lois Force.
