DONALD C. FORCE 10/16/1928 - 10/21/2018
Preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Nora (Hanks) Force, sister, Irma and brothers, Ardis, Paul & Wendell.
Don attended Russell schools through high school, then graduated from the University of Iowa with an EE degree and loved to cheer for the Hawkeyes! This led to a successful career for many years with Hughes Aircraft Company. He played in the Russell town band and had a great tenor voice. He loved 40's music and you could often hear him whistling his favorites.
Don also served our country during the Korean war and was honorably discharged from the US Army at the rank of Staff Sargent in 1954.
He passed quietly with his wife of 39 years, Frances M. (Beaty) Force holding his hand until his last breath. Her last words to him were "I love you." Don is also survived by son Craig, daughter Marla (Don), stepsons, Barry (Jacquie), Scott (Jean), five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
