Funeral services for Katherine Stephens BOYD, 94, of Tulsa, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 1 p.m. on April 21 at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Leon Farley officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Aug. 30, 1909, in Sequoyah County, to Oscar Lewis STEPHENS and Mattie STEWART STEPHENS. She died on Monday, April 19, 2004. She married William Harold BOYD on April 17, 1938, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1989. Survivors include one sister, Maxine; three brothers, Herman, J.D. and Sterling; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Dr. John ORBIN on Feb. 8, 1964.
