Three Year Old Is Painfully Burned
Naomi Alloway, 3 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Alloway, of 316 Twenty third avenue, was admitted to the Children's ward of the Altoona Hospital yesterday afternoon suffering from second degree burns of the left arm and side. Screams of the child drew Mrs. Alloway to the cellar of the home where she succeeded in extinguishing the child's flaming clothing with a run.
The small girl was playing in the cellar with an older brother and sister and it is thought by the parents that they were playing with matches, the older brother lighting the matches and Naomi blowing them out, the children having been found enjoying such a dangerous game before. The child was resting well at the hospital last night and her condition was not regarded as being dangerous.
