Harold Edward Cook
Harold Edward Cook, age 80, Centralia, died early Wednesday morning at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, where he had been a patient only a few hours. Mr. Cook, son of the late Willard E. and Minnie Robinson Cook, was born in Sturgeon, January 26, 1896. He was married to Alta Frances Brown who preceded him in death August 26, 1948. Mr. Cook is survived by one son, Junior Cook of Centralia; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred VanSkike of Mexico; Mrs. Grace Palmer of Hannibal; Mrs. Mable Alcorn of Vandalia; one brother, Maurice Cook of Centralia; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Johnson and Mrs. Opal Parks both of Centralia; and Mrs. Goldie Ketchum of Hallsville; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Carl Edward Cook, February 1948; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Faye Worsham, December 12, 1976; and one brother, Marvin Cook. Mr. Cook was a farmer and lifetime resident of Boone County. He attended the Baptist Church at Columbia. Funeral services were held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Meador and Son Funeral Chapel in Centralia, with Dr. Edwin Burris, First Baptist Church, Centralia, officiating. Burial was in the City of Centralia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chester Alcorn, Junior Alcorn, Ronnie Clark, Dennis Cook, Steven Cook, Phil March, Freddie Palmer and Winford Worsham.

Harold Cook of Centralia Dies at 80
Centralia--Harold Edward Cook, 80, of Centralia died this morning at 2:45 at the Audrain Medical Center where he had been admitted only a few hours earlier. Mr. Cook was planning to attend the funeral services at the Meador and Son Funeral Chapel in Centralia for his daughter, Mrs. Virginia Fay Worsham who died Sunday at Romulus, Mich., when his illness became worse and he was taken to the medical center. He had been a resident of Pin Oaks Nursing Home in Mexico for a number of weeks. He was the son of Willard E. and Minnie Robinson Cook, born in Sturgeon on Jan. 26, 1896. Mr. Cook was married to Alta Frances Brown who preceded him in death on Aug. 26, 1948. Surviving are a son, Junior Cook of Centralia; three daughters, Mrs. Claude (Mildred) Vanskike of Mexico; Mrs. Grace Palmer of Hannibal and Mrs. Mabel Alcorn of Vandalia; one brother, Maurice Cook of Centralia; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Johnson, Mrs. Opal Parks both of Centralia and Mrs. Goldie Ketchum of Hallsville; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
