Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Frances Cook, 55, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. C.L. Dorris. Burial was in the city cemetery. Mrs. Cook died at her home near Sturgeon, August 26. The deceased was born in Elder Hill, Maryland, May 18, 1893. She became a member of the Methodist church in early childhood. She was married to Harold Cook in 1913. They were the parents of nine children, four of who preceded their mother in death. Burial took place on 29 Aug 1948.
