Catherine Thresher was born in Lonoke, Arkansas on October 2, 1926, to John and Francis Ford. She passed away in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the age of 82 years.

Catherine loved her Lord Jesus Christ and trusted in Him to provide her with direction in living her Christian life. She was resourceful, tough, independent, self-sufficient, yet always a lady who kept her dignity with a good sense of humor. She retired from a career of service as a psychiatric technician at the Arkansas State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray N. Thresher.

Catherine is survived by her son, Col (ret) William H. Thresher and his wife, Glenda, of San Antonio, Texas; her granddaughter, Dr. Catherine M. Frank of Allen, Texas; and her grandson, John D. Thresher also of San Antonio, Texas. Catherine had four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Rev. James Ford of Norphlet, Arkansas, and a large extended family.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening at Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400) in North Little Rock. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 1:00 pm at Concord Cemetery located at Concord Methodist Church, Furlow, Arkansas.
