Arthur F. Burton, Valley Pioneer, Is Called Beyond
Saturday evening May 14th Pres. Arthur f. Burton passed peacefully to the Great Beyond at 8:30 p.m. With him in his home, at the time of his passing, wee his wife Alice, his children Dixon, Gail and Ruth and his brother George. His health had been very poor for several months.
Funeral services were conducted in the North Ward chapel, under the direction of Bp. M.M. Austin, Wednesday, May 18th at 2:30 p.m. The following program was rendered:'
Prayer in the home was by President Clarence Gardner.
Pall bearers were his six brother,s, Robert I., Thos. F., Christopher F., John F,. Geo.. F, and Wilford F. Burton. His sister, Josephine Bagley also helped with arrangement's at the home
Flower arrangements were y the Afton North ward Relief society under the direction of Prees. Sara Walker.
Processional and Recessional music was by
Bro. Max L. Shirts with the violin and Nada Joy Gardner at the Organ, featuring "Oh My Father."
Prayer was by Patriarch Ray S. Thurman
