Harold Burns
William Harold Burns, 74, of Honeysuckle Rd. died Sept. 2, 1999, in his home.
A native of spartanburg County, New Prospect community, he was the son of James A. and Bessie Barnwell Burns. He was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg, where he was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. He was a charter member and former commissioner of the North Spartanburg Fire Department. He was a member of the american Legion and was an Army veteran. He retired from Brown-Rogers-Dixon Hardware Co., after 40 years of service. He was first married to the late Madge Godfrey Burns.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, a daughter; a stepson; a stepdaughter; two brothers, James Burns and Wilfred Burns of Campobello; two sisters, Ann Forrester of Campobello and Margaret Hazle of Taylors; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
