John W. Blankenchip, aged 59 years, died at his home south of Deport Saturday morning of Bright's disease and pneumonia.

He had been ill since last August and only a short time ago developed pneumonia, gradually growing worse until death relieved his suffering.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 o'clock Sunday, conducted by the Rev. J. W. Willbanks, and interment was made at Deport Cemetery.

Deceased was born in Tennessee Feb 9, 1865, moving to Texas a number of years ago. He professed faith in Christ and united with the Presbyterian Church in his youth.

He was married to Miss Mollie Price 39 years ago, and to this union were born 11 children, 7 of whom, with his wife, survive. They are Mmes. Clyde Epps of Clarksville, Will Epps of Rugby, John Smith of Halesboro, Oscar Rhodes of Deport, and Misses Opal and Effie Blankenchip, who made their home with their father. There is also 1 son, Johnnie Blankenchip.

He is also survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Etta Hyler of Paris, and Mrs. George Epps of Clarksville, and 2 brothers, one of whom resides in Tennessee and the other in Oklahoma.

The bereaved have the deep sympathy of many friends.
