Daniel Greer was the son of Wesley and Mary J Keele Greer. On Jan 20, 1889 he married Ora Lee Greer, daughter of Capt Adam W Stone and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Dorsett. On Nov 11, 1921, Armistice Day, Mr and Mrs Greer were strolling down the street of Temple when an out of control fire truck struck them down. Ms Greer was killed instantly and Mr Greer was badly injured. He died a week later. He was the father of Willie and Ora Marie Greer. Marie survived.
