Lyle Lambert, 69, of 237 California died Tuesday in a Sterling Hospital.
Final rites will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday from Chaney-Walters Funeral Home, the Rev. Don Henderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lambert was born June 1, 1915 on the family homestead northwest of Dailey, the son of Frank and Ethel Linscott Lambert. He helped his parents on the farm and received his education in that region until his Feb.15, 1936 marriage to Lorene L Kenyon in Sterling when the couple moved to Crook where Mr. Lambert worked for the Crook Lumber Co., and Bailey Jamison's service station.
They moved to Fort Morgan in 1946 where he worked for a lumber firm and service station, returning to Crook for a year before moving to Sterling in 1951. Mr. Lambert worked for Harris Service Station for several years, then went to work for Sterling Gas and Oil Co., employed with the firm for 28 years, retiring seven years ago.
Mr. Lambert was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his widow, Lorene Lambert of Sterling, three daughters, Mrs. Darlene Albrandt and Mrs. Earla Raffaeli both of Sterling, and Sharon Wessel of Thornton; three brothers, Wallace Lambert and Lester Lambert both of Haxtun, Harold Lambert of Greeley, five sisters, Mrs. Edna Frese of Crook, Mrs.Iva Davis of Lindin Calif, Mrs. Myrtle Weers of Longmont, Mrs. Dorothy Sturges of Ukiah, Calif., and Mrs. Helen Pettit of Northglenn, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
