JOHN O. NEWMAN
Funeral services for John O. Newman, 68, 1425 W. Eight St, who died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Hospital after an illness of two weeks, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Piepho Funeral Home, Muncie, with the Rev. Milton G. Persons, pastor of the Central Methodist Church, in charge. Interment will occur in the Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie. Friends are being received at the funeral home.
Mr. Newman was a retired glass worker and had been employed at Ball Brothers in Muncie before moving here 10 years ago. He was a member of Central Methodist Church.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Jeannette Newman; three sons, Victor L. Newman, Anderson; Robert C. Newman, Indianapolis, and John J. Newman, Texas; two brothers, Chelcy Newman, Muncie, and Bert Newman, Anderson, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Felton, Muncie.
