Obituary. Carl Lance, 78, passed away Thursday, December 11, 1997 at his home.


He was born May 9, 1919, in Duchesne, UT, a twin son of Myron and Caroline Mayhew Lance. On January 15, 1940, he married Mildred Ann Pickens in Salt Lake City. He worked 291/2 years at the Lark Mine and retired from the Salt Lake Water Conservancy District.


He is survived by his wife, of St. George; two sons and one daughter, Richard (Connie) Lance, Magna; Carl Clifford (Cherry) Lance, St. George; Glenda (Don) Weydemuller, Riverdale; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Seivers, Mt. Home, ID; and Melvina (Clifford) Bigelow, Taylorsville. He was preceded in death by his twin sons, Marvin and Melvin, and by his twin brother, Darl.


Graveside services will be conducted Monday, December 15, 1997, at 10 a.m. in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Rd. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service at the same location.
