Mrs. Edna A. Gibson, 61, wife of J. Harold Gibson of 946 Orr Ave., Kittanning, died at 10:25 a.m. yesterday in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital following an illness of nearly nine years. She was born Aug. 12, 1905 in Washington Township, Armstrong County, a daughter of Anna Pearl (Bowser) Lasher Elliott, and the late Ulysses Lasher. Mrs. Gibson was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served as superintendent of the Primary Department and a teacher for a number of years. She had also taught in East Franklin Schools. Besides her husband, she leaves, one 'daughter, Claudia J. Gibson at home; her mother, Mrs. Anna Pearl Elliott of Kittanning; three brothers, Kenneth J. Lasher of Sherwood Drive, Kittanning, Robert B. and Donald C. Lasher both of Applewold. GIBSON - Friends of Mrs. Edna A. Gibson of 946 Orr Ave., Kittanning, who died April 23, 1967, are being received at Alonzo P. Merwin Funeral Home, Kittanning, after 7 p.m. this evening, where family visitation hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 26) at the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. Robert H. Thurau, Ph.D. officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Arrangements by Merwin.
