William Troxell Cornelius, 65, of 513 Laurel Ave., Cresson, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 1979 in Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Cornelius retired as a dispatcher for a trucking company. He was born Oct. 27, 1913 in Cresson, the son of William F. and Mary M. (Troxell) Cornelius and married Grace Balden. Surviving are his wife, three children; Mrs. Phyllis McCune of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. Roseann Babinsack of Tarentum, Joseph J. Breslin of Albuquerque, N. M.; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother and seven sisters. Mr. Cornelius was a life member of the Cresson Volunteer Fire Company. He was a member of the Cresson Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson.
CORNELIUS - Services for William Troxell Cornelius of 513 Laurel Ave. Cresson will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson by the Rev. Benjamin Laird. Interment in Glasgow cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, where a fireman's service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday.
Additional survivors: Surviving William Troxell Cornelius of 513 Laurel Ave., Cresson who died Thursday, Aug. 2, 1979 are a brother, Clifford of Buffalo and six sisters; Gladys Brubaker, Hanna Brubaker and Grace McGonigle of Cresson, Zelma Brennan of Pittsburgh, and Madeline Tousseau and Helen Yetka of Cleveland, Ohio.
