Goldie Berkey, 8th daughter of Aaron Berkey and Emma Lechlitner Berkey, was born in Elkhart County, Indiana on June 2 1905 and grew up on the David Lechlitner/Berkey homestead in Wakarusa.

She married Earl Lee Bruce May 9 1924. Goldie and "Buster" had four daughters, Lillian and Lita, twins who died the day they were born, and Gloria Lee and Peggy Gale.
