Rev. Fahs was the son of John Fahs. He married Ida K. Nichols on July 28, 1892, in Fairview Twp., York Co., PA. Rev. Fahs was an 1889 graduate of Gettysburg College and an 1892 graduate of Gettysbrg Theological Seminary. Following graduation, he served Lutheran charges in Adamsburg, Milton, Mifflintown, Junita County and Tyrone, PA. He was pastor of Lutheran Charges, one in New Market, Cumberland Co., PA. They came to Florida in 1917, where he became president of the Board of School Trustees, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and a noted Mason. He was in business in Leesburg from 1818 to 1823 and preached in the Leesburg Presbyterian Church in 1822 and 1823. The children of Rev. and Mrs. Fahs were John Leonard Fahs and Mrs. Maude Nichols Aurand.
