James Junior Garriott was a son of James Roscoe and Nancy Hopkins Garriott. He married Margaret Miller on May 21, 1948, in Williamsport, Indiana.
He is also survived by three children, Margy (Phil) Garvais, James Joe (Rita) Garriott and Penny (Gene) Leuck, a sister, Laverne (Fay) Fix, and a brother, Billie (Ida) Garriott.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kathie Booth and four siblings.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in New Guinea and the Philippines.
He was a farmer.
