Mr. Dixon, of Waterport, NY, was a son of David & Sarah Roach Dixon. He married Gertrude L. Cassick on Sept. 23, 1941 in PA. Later that year he entered the US Army. He served in the 3rd Armored Spearhead Division in the European Theater and was discharged in 1945.
Surviving with his wife are 3 children; Harriet (Raymond) Dobson, Richard L. (Rosanna) Dixon and Arlene (Michael) Rollins; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He also had 5 late sisters and 11 late brothers.
