CLARENCE BARNES

Clarence "Pete" Barnes of R. R. 2, Rosedale, age 6, died in Rockville, Monday afternoon, Nov. 6. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Hettie Miller of Rosedale; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00, Friday afternoon, at the Cottrell Funeral Home in Rosedale with Rev. Olin Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Adams Cemetery south of Jessup. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Hervy and his brother, Pete, never married and lived together in the family home-place. They owned a gas station and small store in Jessup where Pete ran the store and Hervy was the mechanic. The garage had been a one room school house and the store was built on to it. They sold the buisness in about 1957 to Lucille Chowning. The family attended the Liberty Babtist Church in Jessup.
