HERVA BARNES DIES
IN UNION HOSPITAL

William Herva Barnes of Rosedale, R. R. 2 died at 5:05 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, April 15, at the Union hospital, Terre Haute. He was a former garage owner and filling station operator in Jessup, selling this business about a month ago.

Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Anna Barnes of Rosedale R. R. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Hettie Miller and Mrs. Margaret Hudson of Rosedale; two brothers, Clarence and Perle Barnes, both of Rosedale R. R. 2.

The body was taken to the Cottrell-Williams funeral home where funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock, Saturday afternoon. Elder W. E. Essex officiated and burial was in Forks of the Creek cemetery with the Rosedale Masonic lodge conducting graveside rites. The Rosedale American Legion of which he was a member presented the flag to his mother.

Note: His obituary appeared in both the Rockville Republican and Tribune newspapers. The other newspaper obituary was also word for word, except, it was titled "WILLIAM H. BARNES DIES IN HOSPITAL.
