Mrs. Dorothea 'Dorothy' Louise Counts, 82, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on October 2, 2004. Dorothy was an Arizona native, born November 10, 1921 in Globe, raised in Casa Grande, and later resided in Phoenix for 60 years.
She was a loving Christian mother and is survived by sons, Douglas and William Counts, both of Phoenix; daughters, Ellen Reynolds, of Surprise, and Margaret Vincent, of Evening Shade, AR; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two cats.
Dorothy was a retired secretary with Motorola Electronics. Her hobbies included golfing when she was younger, gardening, knitting and playing the piano. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Phoenix and sang in the choir there as well as played the handbells for the church.
Visitation will be at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel, Wednesday, October 6, 2004 from 1:00 PM-1:30 PM. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at 2:00 PM, at Mt. View Cemetery, 15506 Skyview Ave., Casa Grande, AZ.
