Lawrence is a son of: Julian & Catherine (Collins) Kappes and Maternal Grandson of: Peter Collins, Jr. & Mary Ann ( Connolly). His grandmother Mary Ann, 1st md. William Grant 2) Mr. Jaeger 3) Peter Collins, Jr.

His mother, Catherine (aka Kate), died 6 Apr 1922 in Sauk Kramer Twp. of Ward County but her death certificate of Ward Co., N.D. states that she is buried in McKinney Twp. but does not stipulate within what Cemetery or within what Co. County of N.D.

Lawrence Kappes: Funeral Mass for Lawrence J. Kappes, 76, Forsyth, was Monday in Our Lady of the Ozarks Catholic Church with Father John Baker officiating. Burial was in Ozarks Memorial Cemetery, Branson, under the direction of Kissee Mortuary.
Mr. Kappes moved to Forsyth from Chicago, Ill., in 1969. He was a W.W. II veteran and a member of Our Lady of the Ozarks Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lola; a son John, Atlanta, Ga; a daughter Laura, Lawton, Oklahoma; two step[daughters, Kathy Hanes, Adson, Ill., and Barbara Amerin, West Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Robert, sister, Mrs. Bernice McKinny, San Diego, CA; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. *Thank you White River Valley H.S.
