Lemmon--Services for Otis Domina, 90, who died Tuesday in a local nursing home, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon with the Rev. William Knickel officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
Domina was born April 8, 1880 in Newport, Vt., to John and Ursula Domina. The family moved to Illinois and then to Valley, Neb., where he attended schools. He also attended business college in Omaha, Neb.
Domina married Edna Ostrom, March 8, 1911 in Woodbine, Iowa. They moved to Glad Valley and homesteaded in Ziebach County. They farmed and ranched in that area for many years and Domina was a rural mail carrier between Glad Valley and Isabel from 1912 to 1930.
In 1946 the couple sold their farm and moved into Glad Valley, living there until 1953 when Mrs. Domina died.
In 1956 Domina suffered a stroke and entered Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon, where he has since resided.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. John (Lela) Wilson and Mrs. Mike (Frances) Dillman, both of Rapid City; Mrs. Harvey (Shirley) Fredericksen, Fort Pierre, and Mrs. Hugh (Alyce) Brammer, Absarokee, Mont.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. [obituary continues]
