Lloyd Woodrow Black, 74, of Route 1, Waterfall, died early Thursday morning, Aug. 24, 1989, at his home. Death followed an extended illness.

Son of the late Isaac Meade and Pearl (Cutchall) Black, he was born Nov. 18, 1914, in Taylor Township, Fulton County. He was united in marriage with the former Edith Johnson.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Patricia Eileen Pittack, of Moscow (Pa.); four sons; Kenneth Woodrow Black, Waterfall; Ronald Mead Black; Wells Tannery; Charles Gary Black, Waterfall; and Frederick Neil Black, Hustontown; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Vera Strait of Hustontown and Dorothy Clevenger of McConnellsburg, and two brothers, Ralph Black of Waterfall and Willard Black, Orbisonia.

A son, Lloyd Vaughn, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Black, a farmer, was of the Protestant faith.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, with the Rev. James Hollister officiating. Interment will be in Center Methodist Cemetery, Waterfall.
