C.D. Black, 60, of Johnstown R.D. 2, died Tuesday, April 16, 1968 at Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 28, 1907 in Waterfall, a son of Meade and Pearl Cutchall Black.

He is survived by his mother, widow, the former Frances Mitchell, and these children: Roger J., McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey; Annabell, wife of Thomas McNamee, Bushnell, Nebraska; Ellis D., Lincoln, Nebraska; Joyce, with of John Bierman, Fairfax, Virginia; six grandchildren; these brothers and sisters: Ralph and Lloyd, both of Waterfall; Vera Strait, Hustontown; Marjorie Christ, Hollsopple, R.D. 1; Willard, Baltimore, Maryland, and Dorothy Clevenger, McConnellsburg.

He was a member of the Faith EUB, Johnstown Moose Lodge and Moose Legion. He was owner and operator of D. D. Black Welding Company for the past 20 years.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 18, 1968 at 2:00 p.m. from the George E. Mason Funeral HOme, Johnstown with the Rev. J. Robert Miller officiating. Burial was made in Kauffman Cemetery.
