Noted on 3 May 2018:
The two white flat stones with the letters W. M. on them belong to his son's stone. In mid May the headstones for W.M. = William Matthews Jr. and Elizabeth Snodgrass Matthews, Sarah Jane, their daughter, will be repaired and set on their bases. One new stone will be placed on the graves of this William Matthews Sr. with complete information on Wm., Martha, and their chidren's names.

Inscription

3 crumbling markers are (1.) foreground unknown, might be nephew Samuel Matthews from Cambria who died in 1811 at age 26. He is supposed to be buried in Ft. Palmer but as yet undiscovered grave.( 2.) middle William Matthews 1750-1813 , no remaining marks #3.) Martha McConnell Matthews marked M. M.
Do not confuse this with the base stone to the south marked W.M. that belongs to his son Wm Matthews 1778-1853.
